The three-day Veer Lorik Mahotsav started on Thursday in the Van Devi Durga Temple complex located at Hardi under Sadar block in Supaul. This program organized by the Department of Art, Culture and Youth and District Administration was inaugurated by MLC Dr. Ajay Kumar Singh, Pipra MLA Ramvilas Kamat, former MLA Yaduvansh Kumar Yadav, DDC Sudhir Kumar, ADM Rashid Kalim Ansari and Chief Councilor of Municipal Council Supaul Raghavendra. Jha jointly lit the lamp.
Along with this a souvenir was released. During this, mementos were presented to the public representatives and district administration officials present on the stage. Before this everyone worshiped Mother Forest Goddess Durga. Had darshan. Also visited the statue of Veer Lorik and Bangatha site installed at the festival site. After this, he inspected the stalls set up by various departments related to government schemes.
Organizing the festival shows the alertness of the administration
On the occasion, MLC Dr. Ajay Kumar Singh said that the story of bravery of Veer Lorik is known to everyone. Everyone knows about it. Said that Veer Lorik was the pioneer of social revolution in the world. He considered the world as his family. He worked to protect civilization and culture by establishing a just and equitable society. He was like God. Organizing the festival shows the alertness of the district administration. This will better spread the messages of Veer Lorik. He said that it has come to his notice that there is no permanent temple of Veer Lorik. Along with the government and administration, he will also make efforts towards the construction of a permanent temple at the personal level. He appealed to everyone to follow the path shown by Veer Lorik.
Hardi’s land mother Van Devi and Lorik’s work place, have heard the story since childhood
Pipra MLA Ram Vilas Kamat said that the story of bravery of Veer Lorik has been echoing in the form of popular rumor in every courtyard of this area for centuries. His bravery, life, personality, work, principles, memories, legacy and inspirational stories are a source of inspiration for all the people of Mithila region and the country. We have heard his stories since childhood. This land of Hardi has been the workplace of Mother Forest Goddess Durga and Lorik. Many memories of our ancestors are linked to this soil. This place is very important culturally and religiously. To preserve it, the state government is organizing Lorik Mahotsav. This will also boost tourism in the area.

The same former MLA Yaduvansh Kumar Yadav also discussed the history of Van Devi Durga place. Also Veer Lorik was described as the form of God. Apart from this, many other speakers also presented their views. After the address the cultural program started. During this time a large number of local people were present. Sadar SDM Indraveer Kumar said that strict security arrangements have been made in view of the event.
